Investigating Fossil DNA  
   
The Mountain lab collaborates with the Hadly lab of Biological Sciences on a project investigating the population history implications of ancient DNA. We are particularly interested in using ancient DNA to test the inferential power of modern DNA. We examine fossil DNA and conduct computer simulations to determine the extent to which DNA of fossils can tell us about demographic changes over the last few thousand years.
