Simulating Genetic, Cultural, and Linguistic Evolution  
   
One focus of research within the Mountain lab is the set of parallels and contrasts between genetic and cultural/linguistic evolution. We have developed an individual-based simulation tool that enables us to explore these processes and their interactions. This tool assists us in interpreting the patterns that emerge from studies such as that of the Tanzanian linguistic groups.
