CAFES

CAFES (Client-based Application for Fast Electrophoresis Simulation) is a web-based online tool for fast and complex electrophoresis simulations. It requires no download nor compilation and comes with a large database of electrolyte physico-chemical properties. (Updated October 2021)

Find here a tutorial on data processing and customisation of the tool.

Techno-Economic CDI Model

The CDI Matlab Program allows direct numerical simulation of capacitive deionization (CDI) physics and economics. Simulink is used to configure CDI cells with pre-constructed water system peripheries. (Updated June 2020)

Buffer Calculator

A useful Matlab script that calculates the pH, conductivity and effective mobilities of any number of weak/strong acids, bases or ampholytes. Includes ionic strength effects on mobility and ionic activity. (Updated Dec 2012)

CAD Files for Optimized Turn Geometries for Microchip Electrophoresis

A zip file containing descriptions of low dispersion turn geometries for 90o and 180o turns developed in 2001.

STEEP Buffer Calculator

A useful Matlab GUI implementation of Simulation of Temperature Effects on ElectroPhoresis calculator. STEEP evaluates pH, ionic strength, conductivity and effective mobilities of any number of weak/strong acids, bases or ampholytes. Includes temperature effects on degree of ionization, ionic strength correction and ion solvation. (Updated April 2013)
