-
RISHI CHOPRA Rishi
graduated at the end of winter quarter and began a job as an
actuarial analyst with Mercer HR Consulting and works in the retirement
practice, where pension plans are valued so companies know how much they
need to put in each year (among other things). ``Being an actuary is a
great fit for an MCS major as it requires strong math and stats and
some CS to use the software. It's highly recommended if you don't
mind taking exams for a few more years!''
Rishi said it was his advisor Brad who got him on the track of being
an actuary when he wasn't sure about grad school or going
to work. He did and the rest is
history.

graduation, Katrin will take some time off to travel and look for a

SATYAN SURESH GAJWANI Satyan is earning a minor in Economics, major in Mathematical and
Computational Science, and a masters in Management Science and

he found both to be too constricting; MCS was perfect as it
offered flexibility and breadth in his numerous topics of
interest. In addition, both Brad and Helen were super helpful with
accommodating any requests. Next year, he'll be a Structured
Finance trader at Lehman Brothers in New York, primarily dealing with
Asset Backed Securities.

and working in Menlo Park as an Analyst at a Makena Capital, a capital

into place quite nicely!
