About RegAdmin Access

Because RegAdmin provides allows users to view sensitive information, access is granted on a case-by-case basis to University staff whose job responsibilities include identity management. Each user is authorized only after his or her manager provides a justification, which is reviewed by the University's Data Owners. Access requests can be (and often are) denied. Periodic audits are performed, at which time managers may be asked to re-justify access for one or more employees. Managers are expected to be proactive in notifying MaIS (via HelpSU) when an authorized individual no longer requires RegAdmin access.

Requesting Access to RegAdmin

1. Complete the RegAdmin Access Request form [Manager]

  • This form must be completed by the manager on behalf of the employee who requires access. Forms submitted by an employee requesting access for him/herself cannot be accepted.
  • Explain in detail why the employee requires RegAdmin access.
    • Does the employee have access to PeopleSoft?
    • Does s/he enter new employee records into PeopleSoft?
    • If the employee is not given access to RegAdmin, what problems will be encountered?
Providing this information will help the data owners make a prompt decision without having to return to you for more details.

2. Print, read, and sign the RegAdmin Data Usage agreement [Employee]

  • Have the employee print and sign this agreement, and send it to:
    • Helen Clark
      IDMail: 8441a
      Porter Drive
  • You may fax the form to 5-8121, but the original must also be sent.

3. Your request will be sent to the University Data Owners for approval [MaIS]

4. Once MaIS receives both of the following, we will provide access to RegAdmin and notify you:

  • University Data Owner approval
  • RegAdmin Data Usage agreement signed by the employee

Please allow approximately 3-5 business days for steps 3 and 4 to be completed.

If you have a question about this process, or the status of your request, please contact HelpSU.
