Colloquium Papers and Abstracts

The Colloquium will provide a forum for participants to share their work and to contribute to rigorous discussion and consideration of issues surrounding the ethical implications of civil justice reform. An invitation is given for participants to present papers on legal, sociological, psychological and philosophical approaches to lawyers’ ethics. If you wish to give a paper please email us a title/abstract [maximum of 300 words] at your earliest convenience and before the closing date of 25th November 2011.

It is proposed that papers presented at the Colloquium, together with other papers to be presented at ILEC 5 in Banff, Alberta 12-14th July 2012, will be considered for inclusion in an edited collection to be published under the auspices of the University of Otago Legal Issues Centre.

The review seeks to draw on international experience and is organized by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, the Bar Standards Board, and the Institute of Legal Executives Professional Standards. These groups are seeking expressions of interest  from “suppliers with the knowledge, experience and capability to provide the range of research expertise necessary to undertake the Legal Services Education and Training Review.
