Using local contractors, EcoSystems, a company founded by Haydi and David Sowerwine, MBA ’72, has built more than 30 pulley-operated cable bridges spanning river canyons in rural Nepal. A video narrated by David follows the building of one, the Sakaura WireBridge, which carries hundreds of children across the Netrawati River to school. EcoSystems estimates that WireBridges throughout Nepal have served more than 3 million passengers without a reported accident.  Video Available
