Energy Secretary Steven Chu called for the divided U.S. Congress to unite to pass a comprehensive energy bill that will require the energy sector to meet more stringent regulations. Such a bill would “liberate financial markets,” allowing them to loan the money required to make those expensive adjustments, and setting off an energy revolution, he said.
