Issues, Policies and Strategies for Southeast Asian American Advocacy Professor Katharya Um from UC-Berkeley

This workshop aims to highlight the political, economic and social trends that impact the more vulnerable Asian American populations. Drawing largely upon the experiences and statistical data on the Southeast Asian refugee communities, the  presentation will address key factors that account for the distinct challenges confronting these newer communities, and suggest some effective strategies for community-centered advocacy.
