Mac Beasley will be 65 this coming January.  His Stanford colleagues plan on celebrating his birthday with a weekend of science that is close to Mac's heart, and is of fun for Mac and all.  We plan to have this celebration on the weekend that precedes this year's APS March Meeting (i.e. March 18 -20). The formal science portion of the celebration will be on Saturday, March 19, 2005.  We invite you to come and help us celebrate Mac's birthday.  The scientific program will include eight talks, each of about 45 minutes (including discussion) and is found in the weekend plan.
