No webpage would be complete (nor would Google's search engine work
effectively) without the obligatory links for further exploration. Links to
other schools in our system of jujitsu can be found on the Zen Budokai Schools page.
Local martial art schools and programs we are personally
familiar with or have heard good things about are:
SMAP (Stanford Martial Arts
Program)

 | The governing body of more than a dozen martial arts clubs on
Stanford's campus, including the Stanford Jujitsu Club.
|
San Francisco Zen Budokai

 | Our sister school run by Tim Delgman, the head of
Zen Budokai. On occasion, some of our members train here.
|
Kodenkan Jujitsu School

 | A school in Santa Clara which teaches Danzan-Ryu jujitsu, a style
somewhat similar to Zen Budokai and in which some of our members have trained.
Also teaches restoration therapy. |
Ralph Gracie
Jiu-Jitsu

 | Jujitsu academy run by Ralph Gracie of the famous
Gracie family. Nationally competitive at tournament jujitsu. Some of our
members have trained at the Mountain View branch.
|
Palo Alto
Judo Club

 | Meets at JLS Middle School on East Meadow Blvd. in Palo Alto.
|
Pinewood Karate

 | Karate dojo in Napa Valley with connections to Zen Budokai. Also,
this webpage has an excellent page of biographies of important figures in
the development of jujitsu and karate.

These are some of the best resources on the web for Japanese martial arts
terms as well as the Japanese language in general. Of course, don't forget
to check out our Japanese glossary first.
