Where is 24/7 Prayer going to be?
- There are several locations available for prayer, see the
signup sheet for options.
-
The Evangelical Protestant
Office (room 314) on the 3rd Floor of Old Union
(directions) is the traditional option.
The room fits several people comfortably so feel free to
invite your small group or prayer group.
- 2-7am Time Slots:
The Old Union is closed during these times. Look for the other locations
(such as the outside courtyard of the Old Union) at these times.
You can always pray in your room too.
When is 24/7 Prayer happening at Stanford?
- 7 PM, Saturday
May 23 through 7 PM, Saturday May 30.
How do I sign up to pray?
Who can sign
up?
- Everyone is welcome to
participate. Most of the prayer slots will be taken up by
individuals, but you can also sign up with your
roommates, friends, small group, etc… Many
regular prayer meetings will also be convening here for this week.
How can I pray
for a whole
hour?!? That sounds hard!
- Actually,
many people are
surprised at how fast an hour goes by in the prayer room.
We have many things in the prayer room to promote
prayer, worshiping God, and seeking Him. There
will be paper to draw on, pillows to sit on, journals to write in,
Bibles to read, and even
music to sing along or listen to. Take a look at our guide
page as well for things you can be praying about.
Give an hour to the Lord and we
are sure you you will not be disappointed.
What if I have
a specific prayer request I want prayed for?
- Please feel free to
drop off prayer requests at the prayer room. Some
people put sticky notes on the wall, and there will also be a prayer
journal in there. Feel free to e-mail
the coordinators (stanfordprayer AT gmail DOT com) if you
have a prayer need and can't drop by the prayer room at that moment.
Oh no! What
if I sleep through my timeslot?
- Don't
worry, we know it happens. We know that people will take their
commitment
seriously, but we understand that this type of thing can happen. Above
all else, the reason we are praying is to seek the Lord, so don't
hesitate to get involved because you are afraid of forgetting or
missing your time.
