Roundtable Discussions

We are launching a new/renewed project called Roundtables. These are lunchtime (12-1:30) forums where we can discuss how Christian ideas and faith related to the study of three disciplinary groups--Arts & Humanities; Social Science; and Science & Technology. Anyone is welcome at any of the roundtables, regardless of field or expertise. All roundtable meetings will be in the Juniper Room in the Tresidder Student Union.

Lunch on Mars Hill

1st Monday of each month starting 1 November 2004

Features interviews by Ken Meyers (Producer of Mars Hill Audio) of thinkers and writers on a variety of topics of interest to Christians in all sorts of fields. The interviews will serve as a "provocation" for our own discussion.

Social Sciences Roundtable

3rd Monday of each month starting Oct 18 October 2004

Topic/Book: "The Way of the (Modern) World: Or, Why It's Tempting to Live as if God Doesn't Exist" by Craig Gay.

Science and Technology Roundtable

4th Monday of each month starting Oct 25

Topic/Book: "Power Failure: Christianity in the Culture of Technology" by Albert Borgmann.
