The InterVarsity Graduate fellowship at Stanford invites us to a series of talks by Craig Blomberg on April 3–4. Prof. Blomberg is a New Testament scholar at Denver Seminary in Colorado. He attends Scum of the Earth Church in Denver, where is wife also volunteers.

Blomberg stands  in the conservative evangelical tradition, but has been known for his wide interaction with mainstream scholarship and his willingness to challenge the evangelical status quo. For example, he has been outspoken in chiding evangelicals for their blanket condemnation of Liberation Theology. Blomberg has written on a diverse range of issues including wealth and poverty, hermeneutics, and women in ministry. However, his academic work has tended to focus on the historical Jesus and Gospels research.

Each of these sessions stands on their own...come to any that interest you (the Friday evening session is for the Stanford community only, due to limited seating).
