How to Use the Three-way Calling Feature

Three-way Calling adds a third party to an existing call, allowing you and the other two parties to speak together in a three-way conference.

To Bring a Third Party Into an Existing Call

Press and hold down the hookswitch for one second ...

Dial the phone number of the third party you want to bring in ...
(If the number is outside the Stanford's local zone and you have standard PAC billing, you will be prompted to enter your PAC as with any other type of long distance call.)
Wait for the person to answer and you can announce the call privately, without the second party hearing ...
(If you receive a busy signal or no answer, press and hold down the hookswitch twice for one second each time to reconnect to the second party.)
Press and hold down the hookswitch for one second ...

All parties are connected to the three-way call.

Note: If you disconnect, the connection between the other two parties is also terminated unless one party is on a phone connected to the Stanford system. In the latter case, any continuing charges for long-distance calls are still billed to your account since you originated the call.
