Searching

A basic knowledge of our search methodology is essential for nearly all research in SiliconBase. To use the Courseware, Web Tools, and Archives sections, users must conduct keyword searches to find desired texts and multimedia. For most searches, users should enter keywords separated by commas. A properly constructed search phrase appears as follows:

The user should then choose and/or. A search using AND will return all materials catalogued with all of the requested keywords, while an OR search will return all items catalogued with at least one requested keyword.
