Sing Along 2003
Encouraged by the tremendous success of Shira Betzibur currently in Israel, the first ISO sing-along evening was held on March 1st, 2003.
A very diverse group of people from all around the bay area showed up, and the evening kicked off around 9pm, with as many as 50 people!! The singing was accompanied by Stanford students Ofer (piano) and Armin (guitar). The lyrics were projected on the wall on colorful slides prepared by Yonit, who organized the event.
We sang old nostalgic tunes as well as the latest hits in Israeli music. Among the highlights of the evening were: Shir Hafreha (Ofra Haza), Galshan (Dani Sanderson), Hasake, Hacochavim Dolkim (Mashina), Ein Li Eretz Aheret (Gali Atari), Tip Tipa (Ehud Banai), and many more. Time went by so fast, that before we knew it, it was 1am, our throats were sore, and it was time to finish the event.
All in all, it was a wonderful evening, and we can´t wait for the next one to come.
