About Us

Mission Statement

The Israeli Student Organization (ISO) aims to provide a community for Israeli students and their families and to introduce Israel's culture and tradition to the diverse community in and around Stanford.

Founded in the early '90s, the ISO welcomes all students at Stanford.  The majority of the approximately one hundred members are graduate and post-doctoral students.  Activities include Israeli movies, holiday celebrations, parties, picnics, hikes, ski trips, sporting and election broadcasts, and educational events.  Seeking a familiar social environment and Hebrew conversations, many Israeli members of the local community join our activities, though we welcome non-Hebrew speakers interested in Israeli culture as well.

Our lively mailing lists are home for hundreds of Israelis from Stanford, the Bay Area and beyond.  Please follow the "Mailing Lists" link on the right for information.
