Inequality

One of the primary areas of research in the social sciences is inequality. From categories such as race, gender, and sexual orientation, to the access and control of income, property, and other resources, inequality is a fundamental issue for every social system. IRiSS provides researchers with the ability to explore and link research questions in inequality between the social sciences—including economics, sociology, psychology, political science, communication and anthropology. The Institute provides the project and research space for many different research needs, including: secure access to confidential data sources, lab space for group work, computing resources for intensive statistical analyses, and experimental workspace for understanding the micro-level origins of stereotypes and discrimination.
