Who We Are

Welcome to the Institute for Research in the Social Sciences (IRiSS) at Stanford University. IRiSS is dedicated to the production of cutting-edge multi-disciplinary research in the social sciences. To meet this goal, we work directly with all of the social science departments, including psychology, sociology, economics, political science, anthropology and communication.

What We Do

IRiSS develops workshops, conferences, and collaborative grant opportunities to bring the most current and exciting developments in social science research to Stanford. Through an adaptable research facility, IRiSS is a place where Stanford faculty, faculty from other universities, graduate students, and undergraduates come together to conduct original and socially relevant research.
