Gregory Walton is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at Stanford University. His research examines the nature of self and identity, often in the context of academic motivation and achievement. Professor Walton’s interests include social factors relevant to motivation, stereotypes and group differences in school achievement, and social-psychological interventions to raise achievement and narrow group differences. In 2006, Professor Walton held the position of Legislative Fellow in the Office of Senator Hillary Clinton, United States Senate. He received his Ph.D. from Yale University in 2005.
