Chana

Chana is completing a Master’s degree in Social Psychology at SFSU where she works in the Social Interaction Lab with Dr. Seung Yoo. Her thesis focuses on applying the self- compassion construct as a brief, online intervention for stereotype threat. Before joining the lab, Chana obtained research experience working on attachment theory with Dr. Carol George’s at Mills College, where she was an honor’s student, graduating Phi Beta Kappa. She earned an MPA from USC, then developed and directed programs for dual-diagnosis, long-term homeless, inmates, and others with multiple barriers to success, fueling an interest in the principles underlying human behavior change processes. At ASPIRE, she continues to apply her interest in theory building around brief, socio-psychological interventions.
