Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences,
is a national association for academics and practitioners
in operations research, management science and related fields.
Stanford INFORMS, our local student chapter, aims to create
an organization for graduate and undergraduate students to
explore their interests in these areas.
The undergraduate branch assists members in exploring career
opportunities by coordinating with companies for corporate
lunches, corporate night, and faculty lunches.
The graduate branch promotes involvement in cutting edge research
by hosting events such as academic speakers and student research
presentations.
Both branches work to build a feeling of community through
activities such as panel discussions and social events.
We are proud to announce that the Stanford INFORMS Chapter
has been awarded
the Dean of Students Outstanding Achievement Award for 2001-2002.
