Annual Boat Race
In October we are going to have our Annual Boat Race and
welcome picnic. Graduate and Undergraduate Presidents and VPs will meet again
to discuss the details of this fun event.
Brown Bag Research and Invited Speaker Talks
Brown Bag Research Talks will be starting again this
quarter. Quote from the website: "These
talks are held at least twice a month, on the first, third (and fifth)
Thursdays of the month, during the lunch hour. The format will provide an
opportunity for advanced doctoral students to present their research or for
advisors to discuss the frontiers of their research areas. If you would like to

First Year PhD Welcome Event
We are planning a First-Year Ph.D. welcome event, probably sometime
in the third week. The idea is to give first year Ph.D. students an opportunity
to get to know each other
Undergrad Dinner and Mentoring Program
Undergraduate President and VP will organize the Undergrad Dinner and mentoring program.
San Jose
We will try to coordinate possible SJ conference shuttle services and contact the national INFORMS chapter about opportunities concerning free admission in exchange for help and services.
