Mentoring We have started our mentoring program as of Winter 2002, with those of you who expressed interest at our Stanford Activities Fair stand or through our message board on the third floor of Terman. We aim to match undergraduate, masters or first year Ph.D. students with student mentors from the MS&E department. Mentors will be assigned on a yearly basis, and quarterly social events will be organized for all participants. If you would like to have a mentor or become a mentor, please e-mail Gary Gaukler at gaukler@stanford.edu indicating your interest areas and year of study. Newbie Program Stanford INFORMS has agreed to take over the Newbie Program that provides orientation for incoming Ph.D. Students as of the Fall 2003 quarter.
