Clear Space
The minimum clear space area ensures that no other elements infringe upon the Stanford signatures, allowing them to be easily seen and to be quickly recognized. Do not place other elements, such as graphics, in the clear space close to any Stanford signature. Clear space recommendations are based on the height of the letter S in the word Stanford. Stanford University signatures can be placed on photos or graphics where there is available layout area that does not create a busy, cluttered or confusing background.
