Below are specifications for recommended color palettes. Always check color for accuracy during the production process. When printing colors, they will appear differently on different paper stocks. Adjust printed color as needed to most closely match the correct color specification.

Note: Color printing advice All stationery items produced by Stanford's online printer are printed on an offset litho press, using PANTONE 201 for Cardinal. On items that incorporate the seal, the density of this color was "run-down" on press to achieve the sharp and open look of the seal. If the density is run too high, the seal can start to look plugged and the rules of the seal will become thick. The best way to reproduce this color when printing the seal, or whenever using Stanford's specified PANTONE 201, is to request an ink "draw-down" from your printer. With a draw-down and an on-site press check, you can ensure consistent color and high-quality reproduction for your stationery. |
