Thousands of people flocked to San Francisco yesterday to mark the 75th anniversary of the opening of the Golden Gate Bridge. We have here in Special Collections lots of Golden Gate Bridge–related materials, including photos, correspondence, and newspaper and magazine clippings. The Atlantic has a nice piece about what San Francisco was like when the bridge opened in 1937. »
