Book drive continues this weekend!

Please bring new and gently used books for youth to Stanford this weekend during Reunion Homecoming. These books will be donated to the Haas Center for Public Service school programs, benefiting local schools. Suggested book lists are on the Haas website. Books can be dropped off at the Stanford Bookstore (a sponsor), the Ford Center, or the Haas Center. Monetary contributions also welcome, and can be made online. Books will be accepted through November 1st.


Tour Green Library during Reunion Weekend

Join us for a tour of Cecil H. Green Library, including the beautiful Bing Wing, during Reunion Homecoming Weekend:

  • Thursday, October 22, 2:00 pm
  • Friday, October 23, 3:15 pm

Tours begin at the Bing Wing entrance on Lasuen Mall, and will also include an overview of our online resources.


State of the Internet 2009

Interested in public Internet access in libraries or the history of technology?

The Pew Internet & American Life Project's nearly ten years worth of research examining the role of technology in everyday lives has major implications for public Internet access in Libraries. Titled State of the Internet: Pew Internet Project Findings and Implications for Libraries, the results of the project were presented to the New York Library Council. It details the revolution of technology over the past years and the impact that these changes will have on libraries in the future.
