Bibliographic citation tools are all the rage these days (trust me, they are!). The library has a site license for Refworks, one flavor of tools.

Another tool gaining in popularity is Zotero, a free plugin for Firefox bult by the Center for History and New Media at George Mason University. I conducted a Zotero workshop a couple of weeks ago for an enthusiastic group of history PhD students and thought I'd post my zotero workshop notes including a list of links and resources at Stanford and beyond.
