What is the difference between ReportMart and ReportMart2?

The ReportMart project is divided into two portals: ReportMart by Brio and ReportMart by Business Objects.

ReportMart by Brio: PeopleSoft HR/SA and other non Oracle Financials Reports. The url for this portal is reportmart.stanford.edu.

ReportMart by Business Objects: Oracle Financials Reports. The url for this portal is reportmart2.stanford.edu. Many times we refer the ReportMart by Business Objects portal as ReportMart2.

What is required to run reports in the ReportMart2 portal? You will need a web browser, a network connection, PDF Reader, and a valid SUNet ID to run any reports from the ReportMart2 portal. Additional information about the hardware and software requirements can be found here.
Do I need the Virtual Private Network (VPN) software to access ReportMart2? Only users who are running reports using the full client will require VPN. You won't need VPN if you are running the reports from the ReportMart2 portal.
What is Webi? Webi is short for Web Intelligence. Webi reports are the type of reports that you can run and view data from your web browser.
What is a red screen? A red screen is a Business Objects server error. It typically looks like this. If you have encountered a red screen, please write down the error number and send it to us via a HelpSU ticket. To resolve the red screen problem, you just need to log out your session and go back in. If you still encounter the red screen, just submit a HelpSU ticket.

Is there anything that will be downloaded from the Business Objects server to my computer?

Does Business Objects require a plugin?

If you use the Create Document feature on the portal, you will be prompted to download the web panel, a Java applet from the server to your local computer. You won't need the web panel if you don't ever use this feature.
I don't get any values when I do a Show Values. What's wrong? You will not get any value in the Show Values prompt if you don't have the authority to see the data. Submit a HelpSU ticket if you think you are supposed to have access to the data.
I don't get any data after entering a value at the prompt. What's wrong? You will not get any value in the Show Values prompt if you don't have the authority to see the data. Submit a HelpSU ticket if you think you are supposed to have access to the data.
I get an "Unknown error when refreshing prompts (10480)." What's wrong? This error tells you that there is something wrong with the connectivity between the report and the server. Submit a HelpSU ticket and report this problem to us. Please let us know which report and the values you are using.
How do I configure my account to run the reports in PDF? You can view your reports in PDF or html. Click here for instruction on how to configure your account.
