| I-RITE/Sweden:
Spring 2005
I-RITE is a workshop which gives researchers practice in describing
their work to a broad audience. Since 2000, I-RITE has been offered as
a partnership between Stanford, Uppsala, and KTH, with researchers participating
from institutions throughout Sweden.
Workshop Description
In today's academic and work environments, it is crucial to describe
what you do quickly and succinctly to non-specialists. Participants
will learn to communicate complex ideas to others through
a written statement, oral "elevator talk", and optional five-minute presentation. Completed works can be used in proposals, grant applications, presentations,
and informal conversations with professional and personal contacts.
