Stanford Hmong Outreach Program Promoting Education
SHOPPE is a Hmong high school outreach program in its third year and brings 15 high students to the Stanford University campus for a 3-day 2-night stay. The purpose for this program is to expose high school students to a college experience in hope to inspire students to pursue higher education. Highlights of the program include: attending university lectures, a campus tour, a workshop with a Stanford admissions officer, and dinner with Stanford alumni.
This program is open to all Hmong high school students who are planning to or interested in attending college and pursuing a higher education. Preference will be given to junior and sophomore students.
We will post more information when classes resume in Fall 2013.
Thank you for your interest. We look forward to hearing from you soon!
