A good day to you all. We are parents to ALTHEA MARI CAYON, a baby girl born August 18, 2008 here in Davao City, Philippines. She was diagnosed with Alobar Holoprosencephaly. We decided not to proceed with shunting since from what I read from your's and others articles that shunting will not cure entirely her condition. Ive also read that going to 1 year her chances of survival diminishes. but im hoping she will survive longer. is it realloy true? after a year, will her chances to live long increase? from your research what was the lengthiest age reached with cases involving alobar holoprosencephaly? are holoprosencephaly cases increasing? do you have other cases here in the philippines? thanks guys hoping we could still communicate in the future.
