Our incredible Sophie is now 5 years old and she is going to school this year. She is learning and growing so rapidly. We still have very limited language, but she is walking, loves swimming and makes it clear that she wants to do everything her brothers and sister do. She is very social and I can see her frustration at not being able to talk to people, but I pray that it is his same frustration which will make her find a way to speak. To those just starting the journey with a child with HPE, remember to see the precious child first and then the condition. God's blessing on each one of you.
