Hi! Just posting a quick update "o) Things went well with Nicholas's Tonsil Surgery November 8th 2007. He is simply amazing. He did great. Thank goodness. He bounced right back, drank from the bottle right after. The feeding tube was there if needed however Nicholas amazed us all. He is doing wonderfully. I am so so proud of him. Sharing some news about Nicholas. Nicholas is 6 1/2 years old, he will be 7 in May. He is enjoying being home schooled by mum. He is coming along in his own way. :o) wonderful Inchstones.... Nicholas is very infant developmentally; Medically he has specialized care, keepig him temperature regulating, his specialized diet for his DI. Me ~ Home schooling Nicholas is the best thing ever. We have alot of fun playing and using many infant educational toys. His favorite is Baby Faces by School Zone, I got it at Toys R Us, they are mirrored cards and they are to cute, he giggles and chuckles. He loves his excerise ball too. He has hand baby soft plush rattles he loves to hold in each of his little hands.. His favorite toy is Chen a Deep Blue baby beanie baby dragon that his doctor gave him in the hospital. He loves chewing on its tail. He has many infant toys we play with daily. Another thing he loves is the mirror. He is just to cute. We do home therapy as well. Nicka Nick is such a happy loving little man. He inspires me in so many ways. I am in ahhhhh of all the inchstones he has accomplished. He has grown 4 more pounds in the last 2 months as well as growing 2 more inches longer. He is my cutie patootie. I did put a few new photos of Nicholas on the site Holoproscencephaly support site. Christmas photos. :o) We had photos with Santa earlier in December and that made Nicholas's day. Literally he loved it. Nicholas had a few surgeries this year as well as a hospitalization due to illness earlier in the year. Thru out it all He has been such a trooper, he has such strength and determination, he simply amazes me. He is my HERO!!!! I am so proud of the little man he is. He teaches me. I enjoy and embrace the quality time I have with him. I am grateful & soooooo thankful. I am a full time stay @ home mom. I love spending TIME with both my children sooo much!! They make me who I am. They complete me. I am fortunate to be able to be home with them.. I dont want to miss out on a moment. It is like a friend stated "Make each day count". We all do the best we can and what is best for each of our situations. Nicholas is the one who has taught me the most; I value & have such a deeper appreciation of things!! A good friend of mine had a quote in his yearbook that to this day I have not forgot. LIFE IS ONLY WHAT YOU MAKE OF IT, SO MAKE ALL THE VERSES RYHME AND ALL THE PIECES FIT FOR THERE ISN'T MUCH TIME TO MAKE MUCH SENSE OF IT...... It is so true. We are looking forward to Christmas. I am hoping each & every one of you has a very MERRY CHRISTMAS... That this new year brings you such happiness and good health!!!!! Take care & GOD BLESS With love & hugs Angel - Nicholas - Sydney - Beethovan (WOOF) and David... xo We will post again soon. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!
