My daughter Mischa was born on Feb.16,2006 a few hours after birth she was diagnosed with semi-lobar HPE. We did not know during my pregnancy that there was a problem. when she was born the doctor told me she had a cleftlip and palate but that it could easily be fixed. Three hourse later she was transfered to the childrens hospital where they dx her with semi-lobar hpe. The doctors did not give us any hope and let us take her home on hospice on the 17th of Feb. We had her at home for 1 1/2 days before she left us. We new that this was a possibility but the reality took a while to set in. My baby was the most beautiful thing. I miss her so much however I know that life is much better for her where she is. Mischa passed away at 2:30 am on February 19th 2006 at home.
