I haven't written an update in a long time, I just want everyone to know how Q is doing. He is almost 8 years old now and doing great. He is in regular second grade with an aid. He can walk only short distances with his walker, but can get around great with his power chair. He has a girlfriend (many girlfriends)and loves to play with everyone. His speech is limited but he can communicate with his dynavox and some signs. Q is currently on no medications and is doing great. When I found out Q had HPE seven years ago I would have never thought he would be doing this well. No one could tell me what to expect, so I thought the worst and hoped for the best.
