We just found this page. We were blessed with a beautiful baby girl, Sarah. She came on her due date April 1, 2002. 8lbs. 9.5oz. In the hospital we never knew there was anything wrong with her. The only thing was is she had some problems sucking she finally got the hang of it. with in days we notice her head strength wasn't there. In June 3 months later the Dr. did a C SPINE Scan then the MRI. She was Diagonsed with holoprosencephaly Lobar. At that time the Doctors told us not to get our hopes up cause she might not walk or talk. We work with her every day. She goes to work with us, as we have a family business. She is very loved and brings great happiness to all that see her. She could be the next model for Maybelene Her eyelashes are about an inch long. She has never been a large eater. She is now 2 and a half years old and doesn't crawl. She sits with support. She will Roll over from Back to tummy. She wears AFO's (braces on feet, thanks to Shriners Hospital for helping out.) In a day she will drink Pediasure about 3-4 oz every 3-4 hours baby food twice a day. she is just starting some table foods. She does have trouble eating, her tongue goes in an out instead of side to side. Her motor skills have gotten better and she can pick up cereal off a tray and put it in her mouth. We taught her to point. She knows where everything is in the house. Just ask her and she'll look at it. She is always smiling. She loves to watch videos and laugh. She has been starting to babble alot lately. She growls to scare you, she thinks thats funny. The way we all see it is, is that God wouldn't have given us these special children if we were not strong enough to handle it. Thank You Susan Spohn
