I have listed Andy's information before I am just updating everything. Andy is now almost a year old. He weighs about 11lbs and is 24 1/2 in. long. He has lobar HPE with midline defect(flat nose-cleft lip but no palate), microcephaly, slight hydrocephaly,seizure disorder, hypothyroid, DI. Andy feeds through his mouth. He can sit with assistance, can scooch himself around on his back. He just had tubes put in his ears and is doing great. He has made his first word na-na which is mama,dada, or baba. I don't know which I was saying them all. Andy has 10-20 seizures a day but they are being controlled. I do have a question about mid line defects. I would like to know if anyone has a child with a mid line defect(with both nose and lip effected) and if they have had surgery on their nose or lip. I would like to know medical problems they have, weight, age and if there were any complications. I would like to know all this because I am having problems getting a doctor to even discuss the possiblity of surgery. Thank You so much.
