Hello my daughter's name is Jontori Grace. she was born at 25 weeks gestation. A micro preemie.to say the least she has had her ups and downs including medistinum shift which means her heart and lungs decided they would all like to be on one side. Most people die from this but she pulled her less than 2 lb body through it. i found out today she Has a very mild form of HPE. I'm still in shock because I don't know what to expect she is soo beautiful without any facial abnormalities. she does have a high cleft palate which is not interfering with her feeding. she is now 3lbs and 5 oz and will be coming home in June early I hope, she was 1lb 3 oz when born. she smiles constantly and is a wiggle worm. I am not afraid I just want to know what to expect. We will love her thru this forever. The doctor keeps telling me that her case is extremely mild and that we should wait to see what symptoms she has.If anyone has a child with a mild case please email me at toyagaddis@yahoo.com so that I can learn more about this condition.
