Christina(Dupuch) was born 10weeks early, was in intensive care for 8 weeks. During her stay,as she was small for gestation 2lbs , she was give an ultrasound of ther brain and Alobar hpe was diagnosed. Nobody could tell me anything about the disorder, i got the "is this your only child routine". She had an CT scan at 6 months and the diagnosis was confirmed, she also had severe hyudrocephalus and had a VP shunt put in sometime later.Revised last year(Christina is 2 years old) the neurosurgeon who preformend the surgery said she would live only a few months. She alsoi has epilepcy controlled by tegratol, acid reflux, a tendancy to choke as she produces alot of saliva. She is a very strong little girl, and has a great will to live. She is my angel and the love of my life and if i ever loose her she would take a huge part of my heart with her. Not alot is known about hpe in th UK and everything I know I have found on the internet.
