Hi..my husband and I tried for 3 years to concieve after I quit taking the Depoprovera birth control shot. Almost three years to the day I got pregnant. At 5 and a half months pregnant we found out that our baby had hydrops and tetralogy of fallot. We were told that her chances of surviving birth were slim as bad as the hydrops was so to give her a chance at life I had a c-section at 27 weeks. After she was born we were told that she had no eyes ,no nose, a cleft palate and lip.The Dr. told us that in his opinion it was holoprosencephaly. And she was so swollen with the hydrops they could not find her heart beat to monitor it although they knew one was there because she was "active". She only lived for 18 minutes but I held her for about 2 hours. What I'm wondering is if there is anyone else on this board that had a baby with HPE that was taking the birth control shot before they got pregnant. If so please e-mail me. Thanks
