I had my daughter Emily in Friday 13th June 2003 - so yes friday the thirteenth was unlucky for us. She had Holoprosenchepahly. It was a very stressful time for both myself and my partner and in the end it did actually split us up - it was my fault as i blamed myself for the abnormality. i have type one diabetes so i take insulin and 2% of all diabetic mothers will have a baby with the condition. we were offered no support or information on the condition so i knew no other than to blame mayself. In September this year my boyfriend and i got back together - he has been very understanding and doesnt blame me at all. We both wanted a new start so have moved 90 miles away from our homes and are now very happy. I will never forget my little girl. It has put me off having children in the future, but i am determined to full fill my dream to become a childrens nurse. Anyone who wants to get in touch i wou.ld be happy to reply. Becki
