32 East Oxford Street Apt#2
Hi, my name is Jenn and I am 17 years old. I am 8 months pregnant with a little girl. When I was five months pregnant she was diagnosed with Hydranencephaly, a condition in whhich the cerebal cortex does not develop. My boyfriend and I were devestated. They gave us the option of terminating the pregnancy, of course we refused. We decide that we wanted to take the chance that something would change or at least have those couple of moments with her after birth. When I was seven months pregnant I went into pre-term labor. They did another ultra sound, and that's when we found out that her diagnoses changed to Holoprosencephaly. Beleave it or not we were excited to hear this news. Just to know that now she has a better possibility of living after birth made us very excited. Like I said now I am eight months pregnant and scared to death, until tonight I never really knew what the diagnosis meant. My pregnancy feels long and drawn out, espicially being on strict bedrest. I also have a two year old little boy who's my world, which also makes it harder. Only because I know that I am going to have to spend alot of time away from him. But either way it will be worth it. If you have any suggestions, comments, or information on what to expect please e-mail me. Thank You-Jenn
