1064 Brookfield Dr.
Our daughter Hailey Anne Buxton was born on November 16, 2000. We didn't know that anything was wrong until the day that she was born. Our doctor kept the information about Hailey from us. She was born with semi-lobar HPE, diabetes insipidus, temperature instablility, seizure disorder, microcephaly, lissencephaly, cleft lip and palate. Hailey's seizures were very severe and we tried every medication to control them. Hailey spent 6 of her 8 and a half months with us in the hospital fighting aspiration pneumonia and strep along with the seizures and other complications that she was born with. Hailey was not able to feed by mouth so she had a g-tube and a fundoplycation. We lost our little Hailey Bug on August 1, 2001. She was a fighter. They told us that we shouldn't hope for her to be able to do anything and that she would not live the first 24 hours. She accomplished many things, she had 2 really good months in between the first 6 weeks that she was on the hospital and the last 5 months. I just want to tell all of the parents that are feeling helpless to treasure all of the moments that you have with your child and not to waste time dwelling on that helpless feeling. Enjoy them while they are here with you and treasure the opportunity that God gave you to help these little angels. We have a website for Hailey with pictures and a journal that I kept of her life. Please feel free to visit and e mail me.
