10 Orange st.
Alexander is almost 7 yrs. old now. he had a nissen fondoplication last summer to help him w/ his reflux and it has also helped him in gaining
weight. he's going to school 5 days a wk. he is very popular may I add.
He also had severe obstructive sleep apnea. after
trying diferent things to help him his dr. said
that a tracheostomy was the best thing for him.
on 3/20/02 he had the surgery. We are very happy w/ the results we no longer worry if he will make
it thru the night. he was diagnosed w/ scoliosis
of the spine.we wears a body jacket for that.
He still needs assistance to sit. Alex daily care
is pretty much the same. he has a wheelchair.he
love toys with light and music, cartoons,to be kiss by mom all the time..lol..
he love hanging out in his big sister's room. and
he loves when his dad wistles to him.
Alex is very happy and very friendly but always makes sure mom or dad is around before giving someone a smile.he's non-verbal just lots of baby talk. winter is the hardest months, he gets colds
frequently. we just take it a day at a time. we
enjoy every moment we have with our little angel.
alex has tought us that we should love a person for who they are not what they look like. In our
eyes he is beautiful. I would love to hear from
other parents going thru similar situations. I welcome new friends. god bless.
