My daughter was born September 10,1998. She was born with a cleft lip and palate. It was not until she was 8 months old that we found out she had semi-lobar holoprosencephaly,and diabetes insipidus.She was put in the hospital for a high sodium level and thats when we were hit with the news. She is unable to walk,talk,crawl,or eat independantly. She recieves physical,and occupational therapy. She is currently on DDAVP for her sodium level, and has to be feed by g-tube. Nakia is a very happy,beautiful little girl. She loves to play with other kids. We believe that she is truly a blessing to us. She's our SUNFLOWER. We are currently finishing up a web page for her.
