25 Langley Drive, Kegworth
Our daughter Ella was born on 29.10.95. She was born with a cleft lip and palate. At 4 days old she was diagnosed with HPE. Her associated problems are Diabetes Insipidus, epilepsy Partial seizures only but fairly well controlled), poor sleep, partial growth hormone deficiency, she has gastrostomy feeds, frequent vomiting. <>
Ella cannot sit or walk unaided but is on the whole a very happy little girl and gives lots of smiles and giggles. She has good eye contact and babbles to anyone who will talk to her. She attends a special school 5 days a week which she really enjoys. <>
Our main day to day problem is Ella's vomiting. We seemed to have tried everything but nothing has cured the problem. We are considering a Nissens Fundoplication and would love to hear from anyone who as experienced similar problems or whose child has had this operation and whether it worked.<>
We look forward to hearing from you.<>
We have three other children, Joseph (8), Charlie (3) and Daisy 4 months. If there is anyone concerned about having another baby please feel free to contact us. Having our last two children was probably the best thing we could have done as it has taken away the pain and also made us realise that it wasn't anything that we did wrong.
