In the summer of 1991, I was expecting my first child. It was a good pregancy. Did spot at 3 months. Did a ultrasound, baby has a heartbeat. At my 6 1/2 month ultrasound, they had me in the room for a long time, than asked me to drink even more water. After awhile the lady sent in a man to check on everything. I still remember his words "everythings good, you can go home now" I also found out our baby was a girl. Her name is to be LeOra Lee Rustick. So many dreams. Until 2 days later on Friday the 13th of September 1991! My doctor called. My baby has a major birthdefect. Come to the office. My Dad was also dying from stomach cancer. Bad news, sent to a different hospital. She will die! Trisomy 13, holoprosencephaly. Chose to carry until my 8th month. Induced. In my arms October 25, 1991 at 4:20 pm. in Gods arms October 25, 1991 at 5:10 pm. 4lbs. 3 oz. 19 1/2". Lost my dad to cancer on February 12, 1992. New addition to our family Alexander Lee on November 27, 1992 and than Anna LeOra on February 27, 1995. They are both normal and very energetic. I still miss LeOra, at times I feel I failed. But she is my daughter and no one can take her away from my heart. Stacy LeOra Rustick
